The first and third tasks took 10-20 minutes each. The second task took around an hour due to reacquainting myself with formulas and Excel.

The fourth task I was unable to complete after three+ hours. I have a Mac, which I was told that wouldn't be a problem entering school, but it is proving difficult since the literacy test's instructions were only for Access. Access isn't available when you download the UBC-available Office for Mac. (I would have purchased Parallels and Windows, and learned to use them before starting here, if I had known it would be needed. That would be helpful information for future students when they ask about using Mac products.) I tried using Filemaker's free trial but to no avail since I have absolutely no background in relational database management. The same problem resulted from my downloading the free community MySQL. Quite honestly, I have no idea where to begin with this task and I hope there is an in-depth tutorial this fall. The HTML and CSS units also took me a while, about two hours. I would have benefited from more examples with style-based coding and information in the tutorial portions.
